Our Home Care Services
Care4Austin offers various services for your family members. They can help with just a few hours a week or provide daily care. They also offer 24-hour home care if needed.
Six services. One care plan.
Most families start with a few hours a week and grow from there. Services combine freely — a companion visit and a personal-care shift can sit in the same week, with the same caregiver where possible.
How care actually starts.
No assessment fee, no obligation, and nothing signed until you have met the caregiver. Most families go from first call to first shift inside 72 hours.
Call or request a visit
A care coordinator asks about the day-to-day, the diagnosis, and the budget. Fifteen minutes, no script.
In-home assessment
We walk the home, flag safety risks, and write a plan with hours, tasks, and cost in writing — free.
Meet your caregiver
You approve the match before care begins, and you can request a different caregiver at any point.
Do you offer respite care for family caregivers?+
es. We offer respite care in Austin. We provide short-term in-home support while family caregivers rest, work, travel, or handle other responsibilities. Short-term and flexible scheduling options are available.
Do you offer dementia and Alzheimer's care at home?+
Yes. Care4Austin provides in-home dementia and Alzheimer’s care. We offer patient, structured support that promotes comfort and reduces confusion. Receiving care at home helps many clients feel calmer in a familiar environment.
Is this the same as home health nursing?+
No. We provide non-medical care — help with daily living, companionship, and household support. We do not perform skilled nursing tasks, but we work alongside home health nurses and therapists when they are involved.
What does it cost, and is Medicaid accepted?+
We accept Medicaid, VA benefits, long-term care insurance, and private pay. Hourly rates depend on the level of care and schedule; you get the number in writing after the free in-home assessment, with no obligation.
How quickly can care start?+
Usually 24 to 72 hours from the first call, including the assessment and caregiver match. Hospital discharges are prioritized — tell us the discharge date and we will work to it.
Are caregivers screened and insured?+
Every caregiver is background-checked, reference-verified, trained in-house, and covered by our insurance. You meet and approve your caregiver before care begins.
Which areas do you serve?+
Austin and multiple surrounding counties, including Travis, Williamson, and Hays. If you are just outside, call anyway — coverage depends on caregiver availability in your ZIP code.
